Introducing Area Insights - 
Your New Assessment Power Tool!

We're excited to announce the release of Area Insights, a powerful new feature designed to help you quickly and deeply evaluate the suitability of potential sites based on map constraints.

Understanding Your Area Insights Report

Once processing is complete, your report will open in the bottom view. To improve readability and performance, the map will be automatically cleared of other elements.

Report Structure and Criticality

The report provides a dedicated section for every layer used in your constraints. When you expand a section, you'll get detailed information on how that layer interacts with your selected area. The map will display the relevant layer geometries and their buffers for visualization.

For every section, we use three levels of criticality to give you an at-a-glance status:

Cleared: The layer has no geometries interacting with your selected area.

Caution: There is at least one geometry interacting with your project.

Danger: Your selected area is fully covered by your constraint.

Special Sections for Deeper Analysis

Two sections offer unique functionality for analysis:

Slope: The map will display the slope as you would see with the steepness filter. You can hover over different directions to see areas that are too steep highlighted in red.

Parcels: You'll receive a list of parcels, clearly marked as included (green) or excluded (red) based on your constraints.

The buildable area of each parcel is shown in a lighter green on the map.

The table includes essential data like selected areas/ratios and selected buildable areas/ratios. You can order the table by these columns to quickly identify the best candidates.

Interactive Map Functionality

To improve your workflow:

You can hover over any element in a section to highlight it on the map.

Click on an element to instantly navigate (zoom/pan) to its location on the map.

Instant Buildable Area: A button in the top right allows you to generate the buildable area instantly from the Area Insights report

What's Next? 

This is the first iteration of Area Insights, and we're already working on key enhancements based on your feedback:

Save and Access Reports: The ability to save and access generated reports later (currently you must re-run the analysis).

Export Options: Adding export functionalities, starting with PDF and potentially more.

We believe Area Insights will significantly streamline your site evaluation process.
