Custom project properties
Custom properties let you structure project data in Glint Solar to fit your team’s exact needs. Instead of being limited to fixed fields, you can now create your own fields to track what matters most. We have built the custom project properties to give you structure, clarity and the control you need to manage your project pipeline effectively
Why use custom properties?
Every team tracks projects differently. With custom properties you can:
- Add important details (e.g. project technology, close date, LCOE)
- Standardize data across your organization
- Filter and sort projects based on what’s most relevant to you
- Improve reporting and pipeline tracking
How to create a custom property
If you are an org admin, you can create, edit and delete custom properties for your organization.
- Open Company settings
- Go to the Company properties section
- Click '+ Add property'
- Choose a field type (text, number, date, select, etc.)
- Give your property a name and set default values if needed
- Save — the new property is now available for projects in all portfolios and you team members (creators) can add a value to the field.
Managing properties
- You can edit or delete properties at any time (changes apply to all projects) --> Organization admins only.
- Properties are organization-wide, so your whole team works with the same structure.
✅ Tip: Start small. Add only the fields you really need. It keeps projects clean and makes reporting much easier later.
