BETA - Design to a target power

Until now, Glint automatically filled your entire BESS polygon with as many battery sets as it could hold, maximizing installed capacity on your parcel. With the latest update (in Beta), you can now limit your design to a specific power target, and control exactly where the sets go, instead of accepting a full-site automatic fill.

How it works

  • Draw (or select) your BESS polygon and open Create analysis.
  • Turn on “Limit to Target Power” - type in your desired value, in MW.
  • Use the anchor point (purple dot) to move your grid, and control where the sets get placed.

Other actions

  • You can move individual sets within the grid (thus keeping the distances between your sets).
  • You can delete and add sets.
  • Rotation:
  • Fit to Layout: Click "Fit to Layout" in the toolbar to reshape your drawn boundary so it wraps around the sets you've placed. You won’t be able to add more sets after this.

Note: If you don’t turn on Limit to target power, your BESS polygons will behave as they did before.
