How to start using Glint Solar
Welcome to Glint Solar!
If you are working with site evaluation for ground mount solar projects, Glint Solar helps you get the job done! In this article, you'll learn what's possible with Glint Solar and understand how Glint Solar is structured.
What is Glint Solar?
Glint Solar is a comprehensive solar siting tool designed to help solar developers speed up their workflows. Identifying red flags as early as possible helps you stop wasting time on the wrong projects and spend more time securing the best solar sites. By providing a centralized platform for collaboration, Glint Solar helps teams stay organized and focused, ensuring successful solar projects.
What can you do in Glint Solar?
Using Glint Solar's comprehensive data sets, you can both identify new potential locations for ground mount solar parks and also evaluate locations you already have secured. Our powerful design functionality allows you to quickly assess the yield for the site and our 3D model helps visualize the site in the landscape. Glint Solar also serves as a collaboration platform within your team and with external partners where you can keep track of projects at different stages and see the overview in the map.
Identify and evaluate solar site locations
Glint Solar helps you in the complex process of assessing a solar site location.
Our comprehensive Layers Library and Filtering feature helps you both evaluate an existing location and also identify new locations. Our Map export feature allows you to export a snapshot of the site location together with data layer legends, creating an assessment summary of the chosen location.
Quick design and accurate yield reports
Glint Solar is democratizing solar designs with our Design in a click concept. PV design expertise is, however, recommended when setting up the PV profiles to get started. Once this is done, anyone in the team can create quick designs. Empowering Project Developers to create quick designs from the early stage of the project will help increase the productivity of the team and help the Project Developer in communication with the customer and stakeholders.
Our 3D model of solar panels is popular and helpful for increasing trust and project success rate from the early stages of the project to avoid any misalignment with stakeholders.
Effortless collaboration in teams or with external partners
Glint Solar allows you to collaborate with teammates as well as external partners, ensuring seamless teamwork and a full overview of all projects in real-time.
Our Board view and Map view help different stakeholders stay informed about the progress of projects and see the total sum of estimated capacity in the portfolio. The ability to track project progress on the map also helps identify where projects get stuck or where they move forward. You can easily invite new team members with our Manage users feature.
Collaborating with external partners requires access management since you only want to collaborate on selected locations and projects. Distinguish between different levels of access privilege by providing direct access to portfolios in Glint for external collaborators and partners outside of your organization, allowing you to export less and share access directly to maintain accurate and complete data!
