Keeping your data safe
Overall approach
Security and reliability is a top priority for Glint. We recognise the importance of both protecting your data and providing you with reliable operation of our software.
We use AWS (servers in Ireland) for cloud infrastructure. AWS has state-of-the-art encryption both in transit and at rest, as well as physical security measures such as 24/7 monitoring, access controls, and disaster recovery processes.
Server location
We use AWS servers in Ireland for all data storage and processing.
Encryption
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Data deletion and recovery
As part of our main approach, we donβt delete data for as long as the customer relationship remains in effect β unless the customer asks us to do so in writing. When a user deletes something in the app, the data is not deleted from our servers but it is hidden in the UI, and can thus be recovered in case the deletion was a mistake.
For many delete actions it is possible to undo using ctrl-z or (cmd-z on mac). If you want to recover something you deleted by mistake and undo doesβt work, please contact us and we will help you.
Backup and resilience
All portfolio and project data is backed up for 35 days using point in time recovery. This includes PV-profiles, objects, comments, analyses to name a few examples. It also includes styling of layers, however the layer itself is not backed up this way since it is a large amount of data and it does not change.
All project and layer data is stored across multiple physically separate locations (AWS availability zones)
